Himawari Preschool LLC is a dynamic, growing opportunity not just for the kids here, but also for those of us interested in developing foreign language education for young children here in the US. Working together, it is our intent to create a chance for preschoolers in the SE Michigan region to learn the Japanese language and culture from their peers. We wish to give them a supportive, loving environment as their first experience in the global community beyond our borders.
We are currently looking for employees with many different skill sets, including:
- Familiarity with early childhood education practices
- A strong sense of commitment and responsiblity
- Confidence in teaching English to foreign children
- Strong interest in Japanese language and culture
- Ability to speak and connect with little children
- Willingness to learn new things
- Comfortable speaking Japanese
- Desire to share about our culture with Japanese families
